ABOUT US

Founded by Chantele Barker, a passionate, experienced educator with almost 15 years of secondary teaching experience and 20 years of mentoring children and young people facing challenges, particularly those related to behaviour, exclusion and vulnerability.

The PSHE Influencer was born from a simple belief: every young person deserves the tools to thrive. Chantele saw first-hand how students with unique learning needs- whether it's ADHD, Dyslexia, or emotional support- often slip through the cracks in traditional classrooms or worse are labelled 'badly behaved' and excluded from mainstream settings. So, she set out to create something different.

Having overcome her own youth challenges and having raised her own children, Chantele's lived experiences enables her to empathise with the struggles young people may face today.

Chantele has extensive experience supporting children and young people with a range of emotional/ behavioural needs and supporting parents, caregivers and professionals to build positive connections with the children and young people in their lives.

Here's the thing: wellbeing and confidence matter. Over the years working in education, Chantele noticed that struggling students weren't able to thrive in learning environments- if their basic needs were not being met. And let's be realistic- it is difficult to navigate being a teen regardless- managing friendships, peer pressure and conflict- issues that can often over-shadow the school experience. We offer a range of support services for children and young people, including tutoring, mentoring, coaching and advocacy to bridge those gaps.

Chantele is a qualified secondary teacher, with expertise in PSHE/ Citizenship education and takes a holistic, integrative approach, blending academic support with tools to improve wellbeing. We're not just here to 'teach'- we're here to listen, mentor, and tailor our approach to what your CYP truly needs.

We offer face-to-face sessions in Bedfordshire/ Hertfordshire and online sessions too, with both one-to-one and small group options available.

Chantele is trained to Level 3 in Child Safeguarding (Designated Safeguarding Lead) and has an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is registered with the update service.

Chantele has considerable experience creating learning resources to support adults caring for, or working with, children and young people, and facilitating training.
